Volunteers Needed for our House League Program |

We are still looking for people to fill various roles in our House League Program:
- Convenors for all divisions except Novice
- Head Coaches in all divisions except PeeWee and Bantam
- Assistant Coaches and Trainers in all divisions

Basic Hockey Equipment |
|
For those new to hockey, the following is the basic equipment required:
Skates ** Shin pads ** Pants ** Jill ** Gloves ** Shoulder Pads ** Elbow Pads ** Neck Guard ** Helmet ** Bag ** Stick ** Mouth Guard (recommended but not mandatory)
Canadian Tire and National Sports have various different kits for beginners, including some on sale this week, that contain most of what you need. |

The Peewee B/C team is holding tryouts on the following dates:
Sept 8th 8:30pm-9:30 pm O'Brien, Pickering Recreation Complex
Sept 9th 8:00pm-9:30 pm O'Brien, Pickering Recreation Complex
Sept 10th 5:30pm-7:30 pm O'Brien, Pickering Recreation Complex

Congratulations to all our 2010 graduates who will be leaving DWGHA and we wish them well in their future opportunities in hockey, school, and life in general. We appreciate your representation of DWGHA this past season, and for many players the last several years. In June 2007, DWGHA received a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation in the amount of $41,500. DWGHA is grateful to the Ontario Trillium Foundation for their support. The budget includes funds specifially earmarked for the purchase of association goalie equipment, select jerseys and socks, coaching staff training and development, team practice equipment. |
