We are just finalizing the details for the Evaluation Skates that will happen towards the end of September. You should receive a call by September 20th on the times of the Evaluation Skate. You will receive more details after the Evaluation Skate regarding the regular season.
If you do not receive a call, please send an email to juniorhl@dwgha.com and the information will be provided to you.
It is not too late to register! Players are encouraged to register for house league as soon as possible to ensure they get a spot. Click here to see the divisions, rates and begin the registration process. |

Volunteers Needed for our Jr House League Program |

We are still looking for people to fill various roles in our Junior House League Program:
- Convenors needed for Atom and PeeWee divisions
- Head Coaches in Novice and Atom divisions
- Assistant Coaches and Trainers in all divisions

The Senior A team invites all interested players to tryouts on the following dates:
Wed Sept 8th 8:30pm-10:00 pm Delaney, Pickering Recreation Complex ($15)
Thur Sept 9th 10:30pm-11:30 pm Ajax Community Centre, Pad TBA ($10)
Sat Sept 18th 9:00pm-10:00 pm Village Arena ($10)

Basic Hockey Equipment |
|
For those new to hockey, the following is the basic equipment required:
Skates ** Shin pads ** Pants ** Jill ** Gloves ** Shoulder Pads ** Elbow Pads ** Neck Guard ** Helmet ** Bag ** Stick ** Mouth Guard (recommended but not mandatory)
Canadian Tire and National Sports have various different kits for beginners, including some on sale this week, that contain most of what you need. |

Congratulations to all our 2010 graduates who will be leaving DWGHA and we wish them well in their future opportunities in hockey, school, and life in general. We appreciate your representation of DWGHA this past season, and for many players the last several years. In June 2007, DWGHA received a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation in the amount of $41,500. DWGHA is grateful to the Ontario Trillium Foundation for their support. The budget includes funds specifially earmarked for the purchase of association goalie equipment, select jerseys and socks, coaching staff training and development, team practice equipment. |
